Candle Care
The following guidelines will help to ensure your candle remains in the best condition possible.
When lighting for the first time, allow the candle to burn for the recommended 4-hour maximum burn time. Our Coconut Soy Wax doesn’t have a memory like regular soy wax, so a complete melt pool on the first burn isn’t necessary or desired. A complete melt pool may not be reached until the third or fourth burn.
Burn for a maximum of 4 hours. Continuing to burn the candle beyond 4 hours is a safety hazard. The candle will not perform thoroughly, and the jar could become excessively hot.
When you’re done burning, blow out your candle or use a candle snuffer. Do NOT extinguish with the lid or with water. Extinguishing your candle with the lid will cause soot to build up inside the candle jar.
Once the candle has about 1/2” of wax remaining, stop burning it. Continuing to do so is a fire hazard. At this time, you can place the candle on a candle-safe warmer to continue melting the remaining wax and enjoy your candle a little bit longer.
Keep your wicks trimmed to 1/8” to ensure a proper clean burn. If the flame appears too high (taller than 1/2”) or smoke is coming from the wick, extinguish your candle and wait for the wax to reharden before trimming. Flame should be no more than 1/2” tall. If wicks are cut too short, this will result in low flames preventing your candle from burning correctly, and your candle will eventually extinguish itself. If this happens, scrape a little wax off the top of the candle to expose the wick a bit more and relight it. Continue with the process until the wick stays lit.
Avoid placing your candle near drafts (open windows, vents, fans), as this will decrease its life. Drafts may also cause soot to form in your candle’s wax from the wick.
Place your candle on a solid heat resistant surface
Burn your candle within sight and NEVER go to sleep with it still burning.
Keep your candle away from children and pets.
Always let the wax harden before relighting, touching, or moving. Never move a burning candle.
Artisan Wax Melt Care
The following guidelines will help to ensure you get the most out of your wax melts.
• Remove from package. Place 2-3 wax melts into a melt-approved wax warmer, being careful not to overflow your warmer.
• Do not add water or melt on stovetop or non-approved appliances.
• Use only tea-light warmers or UL-listed electric warmers approved for wax melts.
• Make sure your warmer is stable, away from drafts and flammable objects.
• Do not leave your warmer on for extended periods or unattended at any time.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• You can reuse your wax melts until the scent has faded. Once faded, remove the wax residue and add a new wax melt.
Please read and follow the instructions carefully for your wax burner. We also include a safety and care instructions card with every order. Keep it handy and reference it frequently. We want you to be safe.
Wickless Candle Care
Made to be used on an electric candle warmer.
Place your wickless candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets.
Avoid exposing your wickless candle to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, affecting its consistency and fragrance.
To release the fragrance, place your wickless candle in a wax warmer or melter designed for wickless candles. For safe usage, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Avoid moving your wickless candle as liquid wax could spill.
Seaside Embers Candle Co. is not responsible for burns that result from moving a wickless candle while the wax is in liquid form or while the ceramic jar is hot.
Room Spray Care
Shake well before use.
Apply the Linen/Room sprat at your convenience to elevate your environment or rejuvenate your beloved linens. When sprayed on fabric, the enduring fragrance persists for several hours, providing a sustained and pleasant ambiance.
Store in a cool location away from direct sunlight. Keep it upright to prevent leakage.
Spray the mist towards the room's central area, avoiding contact with eyes and face.
Ensure the product remains away from heat and flames and store it out of the reach of children and pets.
Before use, perform a patch test on a discreet section of fabric.
Refrain from applying the spray over hard surfaces.
Seaside Embers Candle Co. is not responsible for fabrics that may be stained or damaged due to the linen/room mist’s use. Be sure to test a discrete section of fabric beforehand. We are also not responsible for any slips or falls that may occur if the linen/room mist is sprayed over hardwood surfaces.
